Christian Maté Grab has released a set of Cinematic LUTs specifically designed for the Canon R5 and R6 cameras. These LUTs offer filmmakers and photographers around the world endless possibilities with the stunning features of the new Canon EOS R5, including exquisite 8K video, 4K 120 FPS, 8-stop IBIS, and an impressive 45 MP sensor.
Having worked extensively with Canon’s 5D Mark IV and EOS R cameras in the past, I have created eight unique cinematic looks for the new Canon R5 and R6 mirrorless cameras.
The package includes:
– Eight movie LUTs (.cube files) for C-Log
– Eight rec.709 LUTs (.cube files)
– Ten movie LUTs for C-Log3 (BT.709), which are ideal for monitoring and grading footage that is slightly overexposed (+1 to +2 stops)
– Compatibility with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut X, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and any other software that supports 3D LUTs
These LUTs will allow you to fully utilize your footage in either 12-bit or 10-bit video (although they can also be used with compressed codecs), transforming it into visually stunning cinematic visuals. Whether you shoot in C-Log (Canon Log), C-Log3, Cinestyle or James Miller’s Neutral custom profiles – these included 3D LUTs are perfectly compatible with various picture profiles and settings. If shooting in C-log mode, make sure to overexpose by one stop; on C-log3 mode expose at least +1/+2 stops to maximize your footage!
Please note that currently Clog3 LUT is only compatible with BT.709 color space as I use these LUTs to monitor material on Atomos Ninja V+. Cinema Gamut is not supported due to its large color space which cannot be transmitted through Atomos’ HDMI 2.0 port.
Supported Cameras:
These LUTs are specifically created for Canon R5, Canon R5 Mark II, Canon R6, and Canon R6 Mark II cameras but can also be used with footage from other cameras such as Canon EOS R, Canon EOS RP, and Canon 5D Mark IV. Remember that shooting in 4K or 8K resolution at 10-bit/12-bit will fully utilize the potential of your footage.
